Dixie Roofing Incorporated was started in 1966 by brothers James Fred, Bernard, and Jerry Blakely. They began this journey with only a dream and a few dollars in their pockets. In the early years, the company was comprised of the brothers and a couple of employees, all working as one crew doing flat roofs, glass store fronts, steel erection, heating and air conditioning, and general sheet metal.

In 1969, during the installation of a new roof system on the Vo-Tech building in Grenada, tragedy struck as James Fred fell through the decking ultimately causing his passing a few days later.

Bernard and Jerry continued operations until 1972, when Jerry bought Bernard out and has since been the sole owner of the business. Dixie Roofing became incorporated in 1985.
 
Dixie Roofing has grown from a crew of brothers to seven crews of approximately 30 employees, specializing in residential roofing, commercial roofing, sheet metal fabrication and repair services. We also have a  professionally staffed office to insure our customers the best service and experience possible.  We think of our employees more as family and our customers as life long friends.  
 
We have grown to be one of the largest and most respected roofing companies in the state.  We are licensed in Mississippi as well as Louisiana, and are fully bonded and insured.
